According to ISO 9000:2000 Verification
is defined as the "Confirmation, through the provision of
objective evidence, that specified requirements have been
fulfilled".
Another definition of Verification is: "The
act of reviewing, inspecting , testing , checking, auditing, or
otherwise establishing and documenting whether items, processes ,
services, or documents conform to specified requirements".
To verify a Products therefore means to measure
physical properties stated in the specifications for that Product
and compare them with the values for each requirement documented
there.
