What is Verification?

According to ISO 9000:2000 Verification is defined as the "Confirmation, through the provision of objective evidence, that specified requirements have been fulfilled".
Another definition of Verification is: "The act of reviewing, inspecting , testing , checking, auditing, or otherwise establishing and documenting whether items, processes , services, or documents conform to specified requirements".
To verify a Products therefore means to measure physical properties stated in the specifications for that Product and compare them with the values for each requirement documented there.
